Wet your hair and the shampoo bar thoroughly, then massage the bar directly over your scalp until a rich lather forms.
Gently massage the shampoo in with your fingertips, from roots to ends. Feel the energy on your scalp begin to flow. A scalp massage is deeply relaxing and helps stimulate hair growth. Rinse the shampoo out thoroughly.
Next, thoroughly wet the conditioner bar. Gently glide the bar over the lengths and ends of your hair — where it needs the most care.
Run your fingers through your hair to distribute the conditioner evenly. Leave it in for a moment. Use this time to breathe deeply and consciously connect with the softness and nourishing effect. Rinse thoroughly afterwards.
On average, your hair needs 2–4 weeks to adjust to a new shampoo.
This is especially true when switching from a conventional shampoo containing silicones, sulphates or parabens to our natural shampoo. Silicone build-up needs time to break down, which may cause your hair to feel slightly rough at first. Your natural sebum production may also need some time to rebalance if it has been accustomed to more aggressive cleansing.
This depends on your hair type and personal preference.
A shampoo cleanses the hair by removing excess oils and impurities. A conditioner’s primary function is to nourish the hair and help close the hair cuticles after they have been cleansed by shampoo.
In our Munay-Ki conditioner bar, for example, we use broccoli seed oil, a natural alternative to silicones that nourishes the hair, helps reduce frizz and adds shine. A conditioner also helps make the hair easier to detangle – something people with longer hair generally benefit from more than those with shorter hair.
Lifespan & Dosage
On average, a Munay-Ki shampoo or conditioner bar lasts for 40–50 washes.
One bar replaces 2 luxury shampoo or conditioner bottles.
Depending on the length and thickness of your hair, massage the bar over your scalp until you feel there is enough lather to continue massaging it across the entire scalp with your fingers (shampoo bar).
When using a conditioner bar, you need less product. Glide the wet bar once over the ends of your hair, then massage the conditioner through the lengths, avoiding the scalp.
Allow the shampoo and conditioner bars to drain thoroughly after use and store them in a dry place. This helps your bars last longer.
